Project Reveal Part 4 - Berwyn Farmhouse Master Suite

Master Bedroom / Master Bathroom / Balcony

We’re going to interrupt our regularly scheduled tour to chat about a few exciting SKDesigns summer highlights.

We’ve had some amazing things happen to our design firm over the past few months that we wanted to share with our readers and our clients.

First up we appeared in the July/August Issue of Architectural Digest. Wow …. Dream come true:)

And our Avalon project was selected to be on the cover of the June issue of Style at Home (kind of a big deal too).

And last but certainly not least our West Chester Project with Rudloff Custom Builders was featured on One Kings Lane. You can read the artice here. We are so grateful for the local coverage we have received in the past but reaching national publications and online venues has been super exciting! Yep, it’s been a pretty extraordinary summer!

None of these incredible events would have happened without our amazing clients, talented tradesman and my hard-working team. You can see more of our design work in this issue of Clientele Luxury and this issue of HGTV magazine

Okay so back to our house tour and this truly remarkable master suite. If you missed our previous tours you can read them here Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3. Our client’s master bedroom is a gorgeous retreat positioned among tall leafy trees, beautiful views and total privacy. We love the sconces that allow our clients to read in bed at night and easily turn off the lights when ready to call it a day. They wanted a simple decorating scheme but keeping it neutral can get boring. We knew just how to pop a few colors and balance the texture around the room so it feels stylish, comfortable and finished.

The punchy black and white artwork is perfect for this nature inspired room. The graphic prints are oversized and create a huge visual impact on this simple shiplap wall.

The fireplace is concrete and the mantle is a reclaimed beam to add texture and movement. You can also see the overscaled entry light fixture from this angle. So cool.

This view is a show stopper…. how about it? This large balcony is a perfect place to have coffee in the morning or cocktails at night.

Did you catch the cool light fixture?

The master bathroom has a relaxing free standing tub and wood vanities with concrete-like quartz tops. Love this combination! We chose matte black hardware to compliment the black interior windows.

The tile wall has a subtle pattern that I love but keeps it simple and fresh!

Thank you so much for continuing to read about this project which we really adored working on… one more post left so stay tuned!!
